I was doing a perfect stealth walkthrough, so the gameplay was that of a generic first person stealth game with teleports. The ability to takedown bosses non lethally is absolutely appreciated though.
There is no nuance to any of it, no moral choices that I can remember, besides "kill" or "no kill". It didn't feel like there was anything interesting about the villain, it's just: here's a bad person, do these steps to get them, get them, the end. The plot is very linear, you know what the goal is from the very start and it doesn't change by the end. There are definitely cool missions in here, such as the clockwork mansion, but they doesn't offset how uninteresting the world is. The world is very bleak and quite depressing.
I had to push myself to finish this game about half way through.
Biggest issue I have is that the world and the story are just uninteresting. It's a good game, but I don't know if I'd want a Dishonored 3.
